Established in 1976, Amiantit is Oman’s premier manufacturer of GRC products. Over the years the company has put GRC to a staggering variety of uses to reproduce several of architectural landmarks (link to project list). The landmarks are testimony to Amiantit’s obsession with visual aesthetics and engineering perfection in the final product with timely completion of projects.
The manufacturing facility spreads over an estimated area of 2000 sq meters. Our comprehensive facilities allow us to offer our customers complete service from design, technical calculations, samples, manufacture, delivery, installation and post installation support. Alongside our production facilities, we have our pattern and mould making facilities allowing our customers to acquire complete package from single source. Architecture
GRC division has done some of the most ambitious designs that can be created out of GRC. The products can be painted, faced with fine aggregates, colored or simply left with natural white or grey, smooth or textured finish.

The division has executed several complex projects involving thin light weight panel with a wide variety of shapes, forms, and surface finishes for creative prefabricated architectural cladding. The panels are manufactured by hand spray technique using special machinery.
The manufacturing facility is accredited with ISO 9001 / 14000 / 18001 certificates from DNV indicating highest level of quality maintained during design, manufacturing and procurement stages. All our GRC products are manufactured from combination of alkali resistant glass fibers CEM-FIL and cement / sand mortar, producing a concrete like material. The material combines the compressive strength of cement with flexural and tensile strength of glass fiber.
GRC products from Amiantit are being extensively used in building projects, leisure facilities, urban renewals, and municipal schemes where ever-increasing attention is being focused on the built environment. GRC division produces screens as per Islamic design for size range 50cm X 70cm to 405cm X 560cm. Customers can chose from over 40 designs in thickness up to 50mm.
